Charles W. Miller has been representing individual and business clients for nearly thirty years, with his practice focusing on commercial and insurance coverage litigation.
Chuck has extensive experience in handling coverage actions on behalf of both policy holders and insurance companies. Chuck earned the designation of “Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU)” by the Professional Liability Underwriting Society in 1999. In 2000, he earned the insurance designation “Associate in Risk Management (ARM)” by the Center for the Advancement of Risk Management Education of the Insurance Institute of America. He earned the insurance designation “Associate in Regulation and Compliance (ARC)” from the Insurance Institute of America in 2001, earning their Award for Academic Excellence for attaining one of the top four grade averages in the national examinations. Chuck also earned the designation “Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)” in 2002 from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters of the Insurance Institute of America. He also earned the insurance designation “Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI)” from the Insurance Institute of America in 2005, and recently earned the designation Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS).
He also possesses a broad range of experience in the area of complex commercial litigation, including business disputes and collection actions. He has represented clients in actions involving personal injury, negligence, products liability, construction defects, malpractice, environmental issues, and toxic torts.
Chuck is experienced in litigating cases involving professional liability and malpractice claims and frequently represents accountants, engineers, insurance agents and real estate brokers and has served as counsel for insurance companies that provide professional liability coverage. Chuck also has represented environmental consultants in actions alleging malpractice as to the investigation and remediation activities at environmental sites.
